I'm kind of in a similar predicament.

Is their an actual Ordinance prohibiting the Chickens in your area? (mine doesn't spell anything out. It just states I'm in a Residential zone.)

As far as I know their are many places zoned residential that allows chickens.

I am allowed to raise a horse on my Property, and it's only .10 acre.
It's Grandfathered in the ordinance. Due to the fact that they are a mode of transportation and you can not be denied Transportation. The Amish do not use vehicles.

Today the officer came by and told me I have to remove them (AGAIN)
and he is going to cite me this time. I have been waiting for him to show up. LOL I want to take it to court and have this issue finally resolved correctly. So yes I'm going to fight the Citation.

Anyway. I'll stop now as I do not intend to Hijack the post on you.
I'll start a new one ....lol

I don't have an answer to your question, but you live in my old stomping grounds .. lol .. (shhhh ... don't tell anyone I'm not REALLY from Texas) .. I graduated from Titusville High School.

Hey all thanks so much for all the info...I did however find a loop-hole and I am going to play it to the MAX!! !Muhahahaha....Hope my horns aren't too obvious!!!!

There you go - civil disobedience.

"Civil disobedience is not our problem. Our problem is civil obedience.... Our problem is that people are obedient all over the world in the face of poverty and starvation and stupidity and war and cruelty. Our problem is that people are obedient while the jails are full of petty thieves, and all the while the grand thieves are running the country. That's our problem." Howard Zinn, "Failure to Quit," p. 45.

GO get 'em!
