I would just like to take a moment and Introduce my self. But first let me say this site has been a wonderful resource for our journey down the road of owning chickens. Thank you to all the wonderful members who take time to post replies and offer suggestions. Even though they were not aimed at me, their answers helped immensely!
My name is Scott and I am one half of the website Steamy Kitchen. If Jaden, my wife is "Steamy Kitchen" then I am the ".com" as I am the web developer of the site.
Now I have a confession. When my wife first raised the idea of having chickens, I was against the idea. It seemed to be a lot of work and effort and a steep learning curve. So I said "No, not interested at this time." My wife, never being one to take no for an answer, pressed on. When I was greeted at the door by this:
