This is what happens when you let a first year goose keep all of her eggs, hoping to get "a gosling or two".

She had 11 eggs, managed to hatch them all, but one baby was crushed shortly before or after the hatch when the nest got too crowded.

With Dad, Tuffy.

They are adorable.. Congrats to you and mom and dad.

Thank. I'm not sure who is more worn out at this point, me from checking on them every 30 minutes or my poor gander that tries hard not to fall asleep while he's standing watch.

Isn't amazing how attentive those papa geese are to their lil ones. So sweet. Hope you all can get some rest soon. Do you plan on keeping them all?

Hubby keeps informing me of this person that would like a pair or this person that said they'd take a couple....

When it comes right down to it, unless someone can prove to me that they have the facilities to properly care for the geese, that they understand the needs geese have and how long geese can live then yeah, those babies will be staying right here; even if that means another coop once the ganders mature.

I understand right where your coming from, Just to sell 2 Muscovy ducks last year I printed up a care sheet and told them if it didn't work out they could bring them back. I can't imagine what I'll be like if my geese ever hatch goslings. Always add on extra houses.
