One of my Japanese Bantam hens has started laying weird, oddly shaped eggs this week. I know you'll occasionally get an odd egg, but four in a row?

Not sure how well these odd shapes will show. On the bottom is one of her normal eggs, the two middle ones are elongated and almost pointed, the top one has bumps around the middle.

And one of the "pointy" eggs has this wrinkle in the top:

Is this just a freak thing (maybe because it's so cold this week she's clenched up her behind and caused them to be misshapen -- lol), or should I take it seriously?

Strangely enough, I find that my hen's eggs do change a little with the seasons.

My summer eggs don't look much like the winter eggs. The winter eggs do have different shapes.

The summer eggs at least for me have the "melty" look that the one egg you show has.
