a weird lump in my hens' chest

i was holding one of my hens and there was a lump on her chest (and on all of the hens) it felt a lot like an egg but eggs are supposed to be held in their stomach.some people say it is a food thing but im not sure.

I don't know but you are getting down on the list - does she have any other symptoms how old is she ? are the eyes crusty ?
can you post pictures?
hopefully some experts will chime in . I am new to all this

I had a chick whose eyes wouldn't open, and I found out he had some food stuck on his eyes, making his eyes stick closed. Try taking a soft cloth and wet it with warm water, and just dab the eyes lightly, but don't wipe.. maybe it is something simple like that.
