that is a castle coop, very very neat job, I love buildings similar to logcabin, they just have a fantastic character.

Thanks for the comments. To be honest I took the pics really quickly as I wanted some shots of the coop before the hens arrived so I just pointed and clicked - these were all taken 5 minutes before we headed off to pick up the hens. I'll try to take some decent shots of the internals over the weekend.

Inside the coop I have 2 nest boxes (temporarily closed off) with access from the front, a perch which the girls are now using, a ventilation window, a foldable droppings tray, a hinged access ramp which closes up at night so rodents/predators have no entry point and a storage area over the nest boxes. The roof of the run and hen-house is made of clear perspex to ensure the hens get as much natural light as possible.
