Well I got 24 eggs from SamG347.
I was thinking ,that is a lot of eggs to turn 3 times a day.
This is what I came up with!
It took about an hour to scrounge up the parts and build.

The base;

The rods, made from old arrows.
I think it is cool that something made to kill is now going to bring in new life!;

The bolts to keep the rods from running out;

The fun part! ;

Ready to roll.

I work with automatic garage door openers, it won't take much to make this powered.
I also plan on working on coop doors!
That would be to cool just hit the remote control and the girls will be safe and sound!

The silver rod is long. It will stick out of the bator, and you just twist it!
The rubber bands act like a gear, or should I say a drive belt.

I have got to show my hubby. He was wondering if something similar to a hotdog turner would work with turning the eggs. Could you show us pictures of how you wire everything up?

Well they would roll right? So are they all connected? Then you slide them all at one time? I could be way off here. But thats how it looks to me. The rubber band is great, you can adjust it to any size eggs!

Great job Joe!!!

Wow, that's neat!!!! I have some pieces of an erector set that would be perfect for that!!! Thanks for the idea, cause I was trying to figure out how I was gonna do the turning thing when I decide to hatch....

The rubber band part is a little tricky.
Yes they roll nice.
The bands do make contact with all the rods.
So when the narrow silver rod is turned they all turn along with the eggs.

For now I will just turn it from out side the box.
But when I do make a power system you (BYC) will be the first to know!

I have one of the hot dog rollers I got from CVS last year I bet that would work. I think I paid like $4 for it on clearance.
