Aaahhhh!!!!

AAAAAAAAWWWWWWW I am so sorry to hear that!!!! We have had some hot days also, not as hot as u tho', THANK GOD!!!! I have been taking a garden hose to my coop and run and spraying it down several times a day. Yah the water bill goes up and the chickens don't really care for all the water at first, but when I am done, they love it and seems to help a little bit. I also read on here about taking the straw out of the coop, and it will bring the temp. down. That worked too, next is a fan in the make shift window for them. I also freeze big blocks of ice for them, which they love.
Fall will be here soon, I hope....Everybody keep cool:cool:

Just wanted to say sorry to hear about your chickens. It's hot here too, and miserable, but not in the high 110's!!! I hope the rest of your chicks are doing well.

It's been 107º here in Oklahoma the last 2 days...with higher humidities (70% right now).

We have to watch "wet cooling" the hens, cause they literally will smother adding more humidity to the mix.

I'm sorry for your loss. Necropsy's are usually free or a small nominal fee. Every state is different. Just call you local branch of animal research. If you don't know if you have one just ask your vet.

Carrie, everyone who is left seems to be doing great! I was gone all day yesterday and was a little worried about them, but when I went out and shined the flash light at them they all looked at me like "what the heck!" I'm happy they are doing well and hope it continues. I think if it was a sickness of some sort that they would still be dropping like flies. I'm pretty sure it was the heat. Thanks for your concern and support!
