Aak! Butchering first roo today!!!

We're going to butcher our meanie roo tonight. He's an 18 week old RIR and waaaay too hard on our bantam pullets (esp. the silkies

). We have 5 roos total to do but I've been thinking of butchering as we need them instead of all at once. We have to do it in our house/garage too b/c we live in a subdivision... wish us luck!

Whack it in front of everyone then ask them to identify the Nugget! LOL Just kidding I still cant locate the Nugget! We are butchering our roo and a friends soon! I plan to be in the house and no part of it!

As tough as I like to "roll" I am not looking forward to our first opportunity to butcher. My hubby says he's done it before when he was a kid with his grandpa, so I'm thinking he and my son can take care of all that.

I'm not looking forward to it either. But on the other hand I'm not going to give them away to someone that will do the same thing, kwim? At least I know that they've lived a good life...

I hate thinking about the butchering. I have found, if I do not think about it and just "get the job done" it is much easier on me.
