Abandoned baby Rosella, help!

You could try soaked parrot pellets if you have access, or even corn bread(bake up a store bought mix with extra egg)that's crumbled and lightly moistened.

the bird stopped eating and drinking so I took it into the vet and they're going to take it to a wildlife centre. I called wires and they said they were based in sydney and couldn't help me? :hmm
Good to hear that you took it to the vet. Vets always have good contacts in the way of wildlife carers and so on.
I'm surprised that WIRES doesn't have people in regional areas by now. There would be a heck of a lot more animals needing care in the country than the city! I grew up in the country, and we always took in orphaned/injured animals and got them treated at the vet, then released or kept them, depending on whether they were capable of surviving in the wild again. Shame to see that things haven't changed. I thought WIRES or a similar group would have carers out west by now. Oh well, at least you saved the bird's life, and that's what's important in this situation. It feels great to save a life, doesn't it! Well done. :yesss:
