For the info, more chicks turn out to be pullets than roos (1 in 3 chicks is a male). Still, that definitely leaves a surplus of roosters that need homes...​

Hmmm... maybe I'm wrong. I did some research and most people online are saying that it is a 50 50 chance?

I got the info from a bird history book I read. It said chickens/jungle fowl generally hatch out 1 male for every 2 females.

That would make sense, but everything I've read says that it's 50/50.
