Able to post pictures & now can't - can someone please HELP!!!!!

So up to this point I have been able to post pictures just fine, now all of sudden today it will not show them!!

They are in or will go to my photos and will even copy into a "reply" on a thread but when I hit submit the reply comes up blank??? If I click "edit" it will show everything I put in the reply, just wont post it to the public. I AM SOOO CONFUSED & FRUSTRATED ...

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP...

Copy / paste of pics is not an entirely reliable method. A lot depends on your browser on this I believe.

I would suggest that you "grab a url" so that you can input the pics in that fashion.

Just tried that and it says "not an image" and it is in my photos here on byc?????

Like I said I can see it if I hit "edit" on my reply, it is just not showing it to the public when I hit "submit"????

I have been doing great with the new system till today, that's what I don't get all of a sudden.

Hope you won't mind but I pulled your most recent shot from your album (I watermarked it so I'm copyright copacetic). This should be how your photo page looks as you choose shot to post. I just use the mouse to highlight the entire link (run from far left to far right) and then right click on highlighted link and choose COPY. Then just CTRL-V into post. This is a pretty quick method.

You set up your pic as a word link rather than insert image.

I have the same issues and I am a bit fed up with it all. The old way of posting a pic was so simple and easy to understand. I am just filled with conffusion even when folk try to explain things. I am not very computer litterate and so talk of URLs etc goes right over my head. All I want to be able to do is see my pic in my folder and be able to grab it easily and post in a thread and be able to SEE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I came to BYC because it was easy and simple and not complicated like other chicken threads in the UK I have seen. But now all this fancy stuff added - well it is ok if thats what you want from a site but I can't get the basic stuff to work for me and I don;t think I am alone in how I feel. I am thinking of just dileting my pics and not bothering with pics anymore. I am so confused what is the point of all these pics in my file if I can't use them. Also what on earth is a darn default file????? I never asked for one so why do I have one ???? I just want my old photo album back so I can use it - not fancy stuff that isn't any use!!! A lot of folk don't have the "browser" etc that we can use with BYC stuff???????? What good is that to BYC or to us??????? To the regular coop user??????? Ok - What is a browser????( firefox???) Why should I change everything I use for BYC???? When everything was fine before???? I need a 12 yr old????
