One of my hens we raised from 6 weeks started laying normally around 5-6 months of age. Beautiful dark brown eggs. She only laid 4 and then stopped. The other 3 laid fine until they molted this winter. Here last egg was in probably late July. 2days ago she started laying again. Today I got another. They were both huge think shelled not fully pigmented, and the second ones shape was off. Here is what she gave me today. She is a BCM with maybe something else. She looks pure but has a sprinkling of tiny white feathers on her head.

This is an egg-cellent article, right here on BYC!

See if you can match up that egg with one of the pictures in the article.

Thanks for the link! I think mine is a combo of 3,5,&15? Lots of changes lately plus she is kinda new to the laying thing, we have new chicks, 5 weeks, 3 new pullets, and 2 12 week old BCM's. All the newbies have their own pen and the Broody and 5 weekers have another pen and the flock has about a 1/2 a fenced acre to run around on.Chicks and mom have been out once. Tomorrow everyone is getting let out for a trial run!

Odd timeline, most birds don't molt in July their first year. They may have a partial molt in the fall, and may stop laying in fall/winter when days shorten dramatically.
Do you have other birds the same age as her, and are they having the same issues?
What and how exactly are you feeding?

Nobody molted in July. Two molted in December. She has never molted. The two others the same age, different breeds though. They laid fine until December. After her first four eggs she just stopped, until now. The are fed Scratch and Peck layer and Modesto organic layer. Oyster shell available. 3rd egg is due tomorrow. Maybe it will be better.

She played another thin shelled

One today. Could not get a pic of this one, she must of stepped on it. Hard pick them up without cracking and her eggs should be dark brown and they are not.
Thin shelled egg often do not get the brown coating.
It is hard to pick up the softies, and clean them up after they've broken.
I just cleaned up a thin shelled break in a nest, saw birds playing keep away earlier thought it was a mouse, must have been an egg shell. SMH.
