I bought this male guinea a few days ago, but are these legs normal?
Should I be concerned? Could it be knemidokoptes (leg mites)?
He is walking normally but has not roosted on all nights.

I think that scaly leg mites cause the scales to lift up. Do you see scale abnormalities when you look up close? our guineas often have mottled leg color. The pied and white guineas have light colored legs. The pearl guineas, like yours, start with light colored legs but they become more pigmented as they get older, until some become solid dark, whereas some stay mottled. How old is your guinea? I attached a pic of guineas with a diversity of leg colors.

Thanks, yes I have tried to look for scale abnormalities – haven't seen any really. Then again, hard to have a close look with guineas... But he behaves normally so I guess he's OK.
He hatched last summer.
