My mallard female is now 11 weeks old, and she is NOT bigger than a normal sized paperback book, about the size of a bottle of water (not taller). I just assume she’s abnormally small. I did hatch her and had issues with the incubator keeping correct heat and humidity. The thing I’m concerned with is, do you think that her eggs will be adjusted for her size? I would hate for her to not be able to lay her eggs or have severe medical issues bc she is so small and her eggs would be normal size. Any thoughts? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks

I have some pretty scrawny looking chickens able to lay decent sized eggs, so I assume she will adjust. Are you feeding her a decent starter grower. Perhaps she needs a protein boost. I have had runts before and they do okay.
