About 14/15 wk chicks loosing feathers

My chicks are about 14-15 weeks old. They have been losing a ton of feathers. Mainly around their tails. There are feathers everywhere! I've been giving them meal worms along with a good feed. Is this a molting thing, that is normal? Do they molt when they are this young?

There are several molts as birds grow up. After that, it is usually the second autumn and each thereafter. (some breeds molt the first autumn if hatched early in the year)
