Yeah, Wildsky, that's sweet. She deserved to hatch that baby, eh? I do believe they understand happiness and bonding such as you describe.

One reason why I wonder how it will seem to me if I ever get into thinking that all the babies should get to stay -- and realistically i know it can't be. I don't have anyone who's ever gone broody, but I do get plenty of eggs that "could be".
 
They're all really sweet. Even the new young rooster who's getting on my nerves.

My goat got out today, I grabbed his food bucket and ran out to coax him back, on my way through the back yard, I felt kinda "odd" I turned around, and EVERY = darn thing with feathers, was following RIGHT behind me - it was such a funny sight - I was walking fast and in a hurry - and so were they!
