About my bulbul's gender (Pycnonotus leucotis)

Hey! So im planning to get my birdie a mate on his/her birthday... Thing is my bird's species is litteraly impossible to tell between genders.... Heres some pictures of the bird... Oh also one thing to add... Someone told me its a female but then another person told me that hes a male... So im confused..

Considering there is very little sexual dimorphism with this species, I'm unsure of what you're expecting us to see. I'm also unsure how anyone told you it was male or female.

The only way to know for certain would be a DNA test.

There are tons of places online that you can send a blood sample to. Google "Bird DNA testing".

Hey! So i was listening to female bulbul sounds and my bulbul came flyin strait to me... So i tried playing male sounds and my pet wasnt intrested as much as it was with female sounds.... Does this mean anything?
