? about rooster

So today I went out to check on the gals and collect the eggs for the day and to my suprise I see our rooster sitting on one of the eggs??????? is this normal???

yeah It was kinda funny as I told my wife about the rooster she asked " he is a rooster right!!!?????"

I'm not completely sure mind you, but I saw what I thought to be and EE rooster in the nest box sometime ago, so now I'm not sure if it's a roo or not. He would definitely be crowing by now. I haven't heard her/him. You learn to recognize a crow after awhile.

I would just shoo him out of the nest box to prevent egg eating.

Oh he crows alright. He was not eating or trying to harm it, just keeping it warm until we came in to get the egg I guess.
