I know this has been brought up before but I wanted to see if there were any tell-tale signs that I could actually look for as far as trying to get an idea on what sex my Africans are. They are about 7 weeks old now. When I got them, they were all the same size/age. Now when I look at them, I can tell the difference in sizes. None of them have names besides "Large," "Medium," and "Small." Large and Medium are closer together in size and feathering. Small almost looks as if he/she is about a week younger because of it's size and feathering. It's also my most aggressive one! Small is more apt to go after the cat or kids than the bigger two. One of the bigger ones is starting to go through the voice change. Cracks me up to no end to hear, "Peep, peep, peep, HONK, peep!"

So can these clues assist some way in getting an idea on sex?
Thanks!

Africans are tough to determine sex until adulthood. I had 3 that I tried identifying by knob size and by voice. I thought I had 2 males and 1 female. Turns out my "female" was just a late bloomer. I had 3 males.

I really need to learn to vent sex geese.

LOL! I've thought about posting on Craigslist to try to find someone that can sex geese! I'll probably call my vet and see if he knows how.

I figured I'd post this question to see if there was even a small, teeny, weeny chance of getting an idea of sex without having to actually vent sex. It was a worth a shot.
