Today is day 19 on the Serama eggs. Out of 18, I had 10 that were still viable from last candling. The rest were quitters.
If these don't hatch, i'm seriously going to lose it. This is the third try on Seramas. The first time, the eggs were scrambled (thanks mr postofficeperson), the second, the humidity was wrong (too low) and temps too high (102). THIS time, humidity has been in the 50s the whole way. I've been obsessing over it. Temp has been 101 (still air) with one spike to 103 when i took out the turner, but it wasn't that high for long- less than a half hour.
No pips.
Everything says they hatch in 19 days.
19.
Today is 19! HATCH!

Chicken eggs ALWAYS start hatching on the 21st day. I've had them hatch 21- 22 - 23 days. Never on 19 days. May I suggest using a setting hen instead of an incubator?

Seramas are known for hatching on day 19. Not ALWAYS, but much of the time.
And i've got no broodies this time of year.. if this one doesn't work out I may try with a broody in the spring.
Thanks for the math! Yay it's only 18! I took the turner out a day early. Oh well.
