We’ve raised four button quail from eggs we bought by post. We think they’re ready to be moved out of their cage into the outside aviary where we have our zebra finches.
Do we continue feeding them with the turkey starter crumb they’ve been on, or will they be ok to start eating fallen finch seed?

I would continue with the turkey starter crumb at least until they adapt to their new environment. Any possibility of posting a picture of your aviary?

I could try! It’s basically a converted 6x4 garden shed, with some polystyrene (styrofoam?) insulation, and an outdoor 5x4 flight that the finches access from an opening in a wired window, and the button quail could access from a pophole at ground level. But we were thinking of keeping that shut for now…it’s a shame that temperatures are dropping (I’m in the UK) It’s about 60*F out there today (substrate temperature).
I should say we’ve had button quail in there before, when our daughter lived at home, but she bought them as adults. First time we’ve raised chicks for this purpose.

And the foundations and base walls are built for another similarly-sized flight in the other side.

Finch seed by itself won't be nutritionally complete for your buttons. It's okay as part of their feed, but I would start switching them to a standard game bird crumble once they reach 6-8 weeks old.
