The wait is the worst! My eggs are on Day 20 and the suspense is nearly driving me crazy!

I know it's still early, but I haven't heard any peeping and don't have any pips yet.
Tomorrow is Hatch-day!!!!!!!!!!! I hope all 4 chicks hatch strong and healthy.

Maybe something will happen by morning........I wish I had plans for tomorrow -away from home- because I'm going to be pacing back and forth looking inside the incubator all day, I'm afraid. I'm always like this! It never gets old to see the chicks fight their way out of the egg and turn into cute little fluff-balls.

Put mine in lockdown this evening. Got my brooder ready also. I'm ready to see these little fuzzy butts too! The eggs I bought I hope to get some blue copper marans and some black coppers. I know some with probably be splash but I'm not really into the splash varity too much... I may sell them or something. Hope everyone has a great hatch. Post pics if you can.

Today is HATCHDAY!!! All 4 of the eggs had pips early this morning (4:30am) when I checked. The first one hatched at 7:30 and is taking a much needed nap and occasionally chirping to it's siblings to hurry up.

The other 3 pips haven't started zipping yet. I will update as the hatch progresses.

I'm really hoping all 4 chicks make it on their own without any assistance.

Oh-I guess I better set up the brooder-hehe! I did buy a spare heat bulb the other day, but didn't bring the container in yet. That will be the first priority today for sure.

I'm far from patient-LOL!

I'm a mess, actually. One of the chicks pipped in the wrong place (about the middle) and the egg cracked down toward the bottom. The last time a chick did this it struggled to zip upside down. I helped it out, but it was very weak and didn't make it. I'm really trying to let them hatch unassisted this time......

Oh-I will definitely post pictures.

I wish I had caught this thread earlier! I'm in lockdown with 40 silkie eggs in the bator. I had my prize roo taken so I decided to put a whole load of eggs I had in the fridge for over a month to try and get some chicks from him. Out of 52 I only discarded 12 non viable or unfertile eggs! Hatch day should be tomorrow and it's killing me! I will be staring into the little window until my eyes are stuck open tomorrow. I am so excited because this is my first bunch of silkies!

I wish I had caught this thread earlier! I'm in lockdown with 40 silkie eggs in the bator. I had my prize roo taken so I decided to put a whole load of eggs I had in the fridge for over a month to try and get some chicks from him. Out of 52 I only discarded 12 non viable or unfertile eggs! Hatch day should be tomorrow and it's killing me! I will be staring into the little window until my eyes are stuck open tomorrow. I am so excited because this is my first bunch of silkies!

I hope all 40 silkies hatch for you. You are going to need one big brooder!

I have 2 set up and ready to go. I plan to keep some and sell some. I'm most excited about the hatching to see what colors I get. I'm still not positive what color to call the ones I have so it will be interesting!

Just another update on my hatch: 3 babies are out and 1 more to go. The last egg is the one that pipped at the lower end instead of near the aircell.

I decided not to help until tomorrow and the other 3 are completely dry and ready for the brooder. I sure hope it zips and hatches on its own.

Sounds like you are doing pretty well. I have one pipped so far. I could also hear chirping. My hatch day is tomorrow. I will post some pics this weekend when I get them to the brooder.
