About to start day 18 - duck or chicken egg help ASAP!!

No, it won't harm it. I would recommend turning it at least a few more days at least though. It does not look very close yet.
Don't lock it down until it looks more full and you see shadowing. You can post candling pics here if you have any more questions about when to lock it down!
Thank you! Might be a silly question (first time incubating) but what is "shadowing?"

No it's ok! It's not a super common term.
It is when the embryo begins to push on the membrane separating it from the air cell, to stretch it out. It must stretch it out so it can pip through it easily when it internally pips. It usually occurs 24 hours or so before the embryo internally pips, which is when lockdown should start.
Shadowing looks like a little shadow inside the air cell. Like if the edge of the air cell is grey and blurred. The more advanced stages of shadowing look like there is a small grey blob in the air cell.

Both of these videos show an internal pip. Also notice how large the air cell is... How it has drawn down towards the bottom (pointy side) of the egg.

I definitely see the internal pip! I had no idea! I think from all of this I'm thinking that I should rotate one more time today and then candle tonight to check movement and get a really good idea of how much space there is. thank you so much!

Rotating the eggs is really not important this near the end.
If you are unsure it is fine to stop rotating them a day or three early.

We were given an egg that was found in an area where there are both ducks and chickens. I have candled and googled so many times and still am not sure if I've got a chicken or a duck egg! Day 18 starts at 1 pm Hawaiian time today - and I still don't know if the egg should be on lockdown! I'm attaching pictures of where the air sac is at when I candled about 10 minutes ago (used a sharpie when I probably shouldn't have!) It is still pretty unclear, but I'm leaning toward duck egg. My chickens are silkies; so their eggs are smaller, and I can't compare the size. The missing numbers on the duck egg illustration are 18, 21, and 27. Missing numbers on the chicken egg illustration are 14 and 18. Thanks!
I would say duck but then again I haven't incubatEd duck eggs.

Internal pip last night! I'm a nervous wreck! You can see how much bigger the air sac is since my day 18 post! We could see lots of movement. I actually just heard little sounds like cheeping! 1 pm Hawaii time starts day 26.

Walk away! Do nothing.

Go shopping. This is the worst time...the horrible waiting game that seems to take forever.

Remind me, what kind of eggs are these?
