? about wild birds just out of curiosity

We've had a pair return to our back porch every year since we moved here. They have become so attuned to our comings and goings they don't pay us much mind any more. She's more flighty than he is. If he's sunning himself on the hand rail he doesn't budge when we come out. We have three rockers on the porch, quite often the male will be perched on an upright of one rocker while one of us is sitting in one of the other rockers.

The plus about not parking under the nest is that droppings won't end up all over the car. They do not foul their nests. I finally remembered to put a rubber bath mat under the nest for easy clean up this time around.
