Our one-year old Black Australorpe Rooster has developed a badly infected toe. I've read posts about Bumblefoot, but this isn't on the pad of his foot, and I don't really see a black spot. When I tried to open the abscessed area by making a cut across the top with a scapel, only a small amount of green watery liquid came out, and squeezing didn't produce anything further. We've soaked it in epsom salt regularly, but this doesn't seem to help, and this morning it was bleeding--I assume he bumped it on something. I hesitate to cut further on his toe since I'm not sure what's going on with it (and not sure what I'm doing either). I've attached a photo; any suggestions? Thanks so much!
