We have a joiner doing work in our garden at the moment and he came back to fix something late one night just as it was getting to bedtime for the chooks. One of our Scots Greys took a real shine to him and pushed herself between his legs, neck stretched up so she could look at him and wouldn’t move. We moved her away and she moved back into place then settled herself down on his workboot, plumped up and promptly fell asleep.

Looks like he’s a chicken whisperer, or is there something about the smell of freshly sawn wood that makes chickens go weak at th knees lol
