I was about to leave this morning when I went to go check and feed my indoor chicken (kept inside since he’s experiencing so many issues and the cold where I’m from would just make everything harder) about 2 months old, had His eyes were shut, he was cold even though being under a heating cover thing, and wouldn’t move. I picked him up and wrapped him in a towel to make sure he wasn’t dead. He wasn’t, but I’m sure if I would’ve waited an hour longer he would’ve died. I didn’t waste 2 weeks of hand feeding since he has a collapsed tongue, 1 month nursing her back to health after rejected from the coop, and the whole 2 months spending so much time and caring for this chicken for it to die so now I’m here, searching for anything I can do to save her. I lowered the heater, turned it up, wrapped her up and put her under it, she has access to food and water. Last time she ate was around 12 AM hand-fed by me. I also gave her water then. She was awake, walking around and seeming better than she has since she has been moving around less, spending lots of time asleep under the heater, not eating or running around like usual, it’s been a struggle. Anything helps, thank you.

Hi! Sorry about your needy little chick here.

You've done well to get her to this point. Let me give a few ideas I would try.

First, she doesn't need any heat any longer but, since she's not feeling well, I'd just be sure she's warm at 75/80F or so.

I presume she does peck to eat on her own? I'd make her a mash with chick crumbles, some water, and a raw egg yoke. If you have some vitamins like Poultry Cell, or Nutri-Drench, I'd put a couple of drops of those in too. I've put a teaspoon of yogurt in as well when I have it. She should really like that. If she won't eat it, make it thicker so you can roll it into small balls like peas or marble sized, open her beak, put one in. Maybe then she'll eat. That works sometimes for me.

If you have no chicken vitamins, I'd get some as she could be having some issues with developing, and those would help.
