I was about to leave this morning when I went to go check and feed my indoor chicken (kept inside since he’s experiencing so many issues and the cold where I’m from would just make everything harder) about 2 months old, had His eyes were shut, he was cold even though being under a heating cover thing, and wouldn’t move. I picked him up and wrapped him in a towel to make sure he wasn’t dead. He wasn’t, but I’m sure if I would’ve waited an hour longer he would’ve died. I didn’t waste 2 weeks of hand feeding since he has a collapsed tongue, 1 month nursing her back to health after rejected from the coop, and the whole 2 months spending so much time and caring for this chicken for it to die so now I’m here, searching for anything I can do to save her. I lowered the heater, turned it up, wrapped her up and put her under it, she has access to food and water. Last time she ate was around 12 AM hand-fed by me. I also gave her water then. She was awake, walking around and seeming better than she has since she has been moving around less, spending lots of time asleep under the heater, not eating or running around like usual, it’s been a struggle. Anything helps, thank you.
