I have hatched ordered eggs and eggs I have picked up. Here is my problems... First the eggs I ordered except AC eggs all hatched with a high hatch rate. Everything was the same. Temp humitidy and the processes I use. Out of 18 only 2 hatched. I also picked up eggs from a friend and out of 18 mixed breed only 4 hatched. When I went to see what the problem was AC eggs had no reason for dieing my friends eggs all dried out and shrink wrapped. Yet I ordered some mixed breed and even picked some up from my dad and all these has had awesome hatch rates. Yet I have done nothing different. I am not understanding why the eggs are shrink wrapping and just dieing with no clean reason.

Plus now that I have my 2 AC that did hatch I had one born with curved feet I am treating him for, I have handled it so much 9 times out of ten the only way to calm it is to hold it or when I lay down he tucks himself under my chin. I don't mind but I have to sleep sometime too. Is there anything I can do to help it feel more comfortable when I am not around? He has food water a heat lamp and the other AC with him. I keep these two seperate from other hatchlings because they are way smaller than the others. I don't want them getting walked on. Sorry so long I had two issues I didn't know what to do about.

Sorry you are having troubles. Some egg shells are different and require slight differences in incubation techniques. Darker shells with thicker blooms may require less humidity, lighter shells and more porous shells can handle a little more.

Time of year, heating/cooling/ changes in humidity inside your house also have an effect on your incubator.

what type of incubator are you using?
