AC Window Unit & Ventilation

Your coop sounds impressive.

I grew up in Texas, my grandmother had chickens there, and my baby sis still lives there with a large flock.

All of my Texas family members have had coops that are about 1/2 or more wire. So LOTS of wire so the wind blows over the perches, and always a roof with deep eves to make shade and protect the wire walls and the inside of the coop from rain.

With that much wire, and the wind blowing over the perches, the chickens are fine in the heat.
