acceptable temp variance for an incubator?

This had been my first time trying to hatch, but I've felt ok with the temp being within 2 degrees below the ideal temp. and within 1 degree above.

Putting your thermometer in one of these helps you know how the egg temp is actually doing... It eases nerves too.

Guys..... thx alot for the imput, and help.....have not even started my first set of eggs yet..and im a mother hen....

...I'll try to keep the "help me the sky is falling" questions to a minimum.

Your temperature problems will evaporate if you will only buy the wafer thermostat commonly used in incubators.
