Hey all
Been awhile, but I've got a dilemma:
My banny hen has been sitting on a clutch of eggs for a couple weeks now. I know some of the eggs are fertilized because I gave one which had been pushed out from under her, to my pooch. To my dismay, he proceeded to eat a quarter-sized chicken-looking thing with big black eyes inside. It didn't seem to be in pain or whatnot, matter of fact it seemed dead already.
Now...
Should I remove all her eggs and incubate them myself or let nature takes it course? Suggestions? Comments?
Thanks!

Maybe you could candle them and discard the infertile/dead ones and let her sit on the rest, since she doens't mind sitting.

Hey let her do it herself. how many days has it been? if its just started do it urself but if its been awhile let her do it.

It's been aprox. three weeks.
She seems to dig sitting on them and even gets a little loud when you intrude.
Funny because I've done very little for my guy/gals...just laying mash, unlimited foraging time, and agua ...and then BOOM!
LIFE appears.
It's kinda cool, I gotta admit.

As we type, I'm investigating the whole "candling," procedure...

Again, thanks for the input.

I would let her keep sitting on them - in most cases they do a much better job than we can anyway. She probably pushed it out of the nest because she knew there was something wrong with it.
