Hi all my chicken peeps! I have to take my little frizzle to the vet tomorrow for a crop issue and it is going to be 11 degrees. Even if I keep my car f-f-f-f-freezing c-c-c-c-cold, I am sure the vets office is going to be normal warmer in-door temps. Is it going to shock her system going from 11 degrees, into a warm vet hospital (where they make you wait and I will likely be in there for around an hour in the car for 15 mins each way) and then back out to 11 degrees?

I would just leave her in the car until the vet can see her. She should tolerate the temperature okay for a short time. Have you seen this article on crop treatments?
