Accurate Digital thermometer anyone?

I now have 4 different and different brand digital thermometers and all 4 read a different temperature while in the same place. Temperature has now become a matter of interpretation relativityor preference of which one to believe. Variances range from half a degree to almost 2 full degrees. Anyone know what and where to buy the digital thermometer that tells the EXACT actual temperature. Wal mart, and home depot and my digital thermostat all have differences between each other.

Brinsea Spot Checks. I have 3 of them and all three read the exact same temp. They are a little pricey but just how bad do you want to know your temps are RIGHT? That is what I asked myself, and then I bought those, lol...I threw away 5 other thermometers I had, and I am very happy with the spot checks.

They're supposed to be mega accurate, but looking at Brinsea's UK website, a Spot Check is £22 and a Spot Check that has been calibrated by Brinsea's experts is £36. It's guaranteed to be 100% accurate, so what does that make the cheaper un-calibrated version then?????

I also agree with the Brinsea Spot Check. I have one and it works great!

I bought one from Incubatorwarehouse.com. Its a new product that has a hydrometer and thermometer both controled through a probe. Thermometer is pretty darn accurate.

i just purchased the egg o meter in quail egg size so we will see if its truly accurite.

Never tried the egg-o-meter. I pretty much bought the one I have cuz of the probe operated hydrometer

We also have an egg-o-meter, for got about that one, yes it is dead on with the spot checks....

I have been using my egg-o-meter since saturday and it's seems to be dead on. Now I think I have my two incubators calibrated. The whole time I thought my thermostats had variances and it was the thermometers the WHOLE TIME! I am about to purchase a second one so I will have one for each incubator and I am going to see if they have the same reading in the same place at the same time. That will be the ultimate test.
