ack mites, just lost a hen. Help. updated don't think it was mites??

she was the only hen showing symptoms of anything, the others are happy and energetic.

this one just died about 15 minutes ago, I tried alot of things to perk her back up over the last few days. Did a body check.

Mites, gross. lots !!!

so, I have a Vapona pest strip, and I have eprinex.

Should I do both. Just the Vapona ???

I am going to go brush out the entire coop, then what ???

I don't have the Sevin dust powder, where do you buy that ?? Do I need to sprinkle that everywhere on the floors ?? What is its proper package name? Is it super safe to use on poultry. I also have the DE ??

sevin dust, is that only bought at feed stores?

do I need to put the sevin dust on the birds, or will putting it on roosts and floors and nest boxes be good enough? I took most of teh bedding on teh floor out and changed all bedding in nest boxes. and I filled them up a nice dirt bath with a lot of DE mixed in, most took a bath.

doing some reading, don't know if the bugs were mites now or lice. The critters on the hen were fast moving, and comparable to rice size, maybe a bit smaller, but, in that general area for sizing.

they were off white with red ends.

lice???

can chickens die from lice infestation?? so confused , I hate bugs !!
