My 7 and 6 week olders ( and one older hen) have been cooped up for two days because of the rain, ( along with dome 3 weekers that I have offically let out in the run yet.)
Im afraid they are still too young even though they are fully feathered.
Am I being over protective?
I no they want out! lol

Hi Hugsz4all4

I agree with you. As long as my birds were ok inside, I wouldn't let the little ones out in the damp and wet.
As long as you have adequate room in the coop, let them stay inside. Mine stay inside for weeks during the
cold winter. Just make sure they have adequate ventilation and hang up a cabbage or two for their playtime.
Hang it so they have to reach just a bit to peck at it. It's good exercise for them. You can also throw some
timothy hay on there for them to pick thru and eat.
Best Success,
Karen
