So sorry for your loss. Do you plan to do a necropsy at home , or send her in to the state vet for one? It really sounds like a large blockage from salpingitis, but it could have been cancer as well. If you do a necropsy, take pictures of the organs, especially the oviduct and liver. We can look at pictures and sometimes offer help. Salpingitis can look like a large mass of lash egg material. I couldn’t let her suffer anymore so I had my son put her down. I couldn’t bring myself to do it. I feel so bad but I don’t think she would have gotten better and she was already panting trying to breathe.
