I have a beautiful Rooster, silver on his legs, chest and belly, and long black feathers on his wings and tail and he is really large, All of our chickens are about 2 years old. We started with 10 hens but we only have 6 now. I think maybe my rooster needs more ladies. He is tearing these up, their back feathers are bent, and don't straighten back out, they look like someone ran their hands over each feather the wrong way, and they have spots about 3/4 to 1 inch where the feathers are gone. (right where his feet are around their wings) He pecks the tops of their heads and 3 of them are really getting bald. I don't know weather we should seperate him or get more hens. They are free roaming on about 2 1/2 acres. Can anyone tell me what the real problem is and how can I fix it. The girls are really looking rough
