Active turkeys today

The sun is out today for the first time in 3 or 4 days, we got about 9 inches of rain from TS Ida and the Nor easter that came after. This morning the sun is shinning and the turkeys are loving it! They are all out running around and chasing each other, even the older toms that usually don't do anything other than strut all day are in on it.

Hey Steve, cool and rainy in SW Missouri today, high maybe about 50 degrees. We just finished about 10 days without rain. Got a question for you; I have 4 Bourbon's, two toms and two hens, in your opinion, should I try to keep both toms, or will they start fighting in the spring?

I would keep them both. They will set a pecking order and the Alpha tom will take over. They may fight to see who's the boss, we just let them sort it out themselves. Also with turkey mating it's hens choice and they normally will lay down only for the Alpha.
