Acu-Rite Thermometer

It seems to me that the Acu-Rite 00590A1 Wireless Indoor/Outdoor Thermometer is good, i am looking a Thermometer and Hygrometer for my new house. But from the above comments, most people like spot check , i am so confused which one should i buy ?

The spot check is more expensive than Acu-Rite

OK, I am new at this so don't claw me or anything BUT it seems logical to me that 1 degree fluctuation in temp and a few points of humidity cannot be that big a deal. After all, the hen does not sit motionless covering the eggs at 99.5 degrees for the whole 21 days, nor can she perfectly control the humidity. Nature has worked for millenia with these small imperfections, why can't we? I get that our hatch may be higher in perfect conditions, but is it ABSOLUTE law that those numbers don't move at all? Just seems a little OCD to me. Trust me, I know. I got all the OCD anyone wants.

If you want a great hatch lesson to speckledhen. You will not be sorry. I first used the Acu-Rite from Wal-Mart not so good. Read one of speckledhens post and got one. Put both in and the Acu-Rite went up and down and all around. I followed the spot check and put it in with all my eggs hatched all that came from my hens. Need I say more.

Thank you speckledhen
