What is this Mothers ACV I keep hearing about? Is mothers like a name brand or is it an ingredient? I ask because a couple days ago at the grocery store I checked out the apple cider vinegar they had stocked and I didn't see anything called mothers...Or can you even get it at the grocery store?

Thanks guys!

'Mother' is basically unpasteurized vinegar. You'll probably want to look for organic vinegar, but it may be in others I've never really checked since I use organic acv myself and have it on hand to add to my chicken's water and fermented feed mix. The 'Mother' is beneficial microorganisms that turn alcohol into vinegar - when consumed it has some benefits (kind of like yogurt) with digestion and such; you can sometimes see it in the vinegar bottle as a translucent film.

To find it, begin by looking for organic or unpasteurized acv and you'll likely turn a bottle up. If you have a Kroger in your area, check the organic section of the market.

Thanks so much! we do have a kroger, but we also have an organic section at our 'closer' grocery store. If they don't have it I'll hit up the kroger. Thanks again!!!
