Mobile runs and egg laying

I am thinking of getting a mobile run for my chickens. If they are left out there most of the day how do you work their egg laying? I know in the past some of my girls laid their eggs in morning and some in afternoon. Will they lay in the run if there are boxes? Do they need a consistent place to lay? Their coop has a box as well.

I would provide nest boxes. I don't see why they couldn't also be portable. Just make sure they are sturdy and offer a dark cozy place to lay. I have a large tractor with some birds in it. The nest box is inside the tractor at the back door. Not sure what your setup looks like but here's mine.
