One of our chickens was missing for about 3 weeks and we found her in the engine of our truck. She seemed pretty traumatized, was skinny, no color in her face, comb etc. I've kept her separated after the first night (someone else put her in the main coop and one of my other chickens died the same night but I don't think the two are related) Anyways, I've had her separated for over 2 weeks and she seems fine. She's eating and drinking, not acting sick. The dog did get ahold of her and plucked a lot of her feathers out but even after that, she seems ok. Is it safe to add her back to the coop?

Was she in the truck engine for 3 weeks?

I don't think you need to worry about disease, unless she was with other chickens, and that doesn't seem likely per your post.

As far as I can tell based on the condition of the engine, she probably was there the whole time. She was found when the truck wouldn't run right! I tried putting her in the run tonight. It went ok but they kind of ganged up on her a little. I was going to separate her again but when the other chickens went into the coop, she marched herself there too and they all went to sleep so I just let it be.
