Added 6 new chickens to the flock

2 Silver Laced Wyandotte, 2 Rhode Island Red, 1 Black Australorp and a Light Bramha Rooster.
They will hang out in the spare coop until add to the existing flock.

Your Rhode Islands are beautiful! Nice and dark. Don't often see them that color.

These birds about 6 months old. There is an Amish guy near me that sells chickens. You can get them all year long at different ages. What he had today was some summer hatches.

When I got home I noticed the black Australorp had a missing eye. Crowded conditions I guess she got pecked. I thought about returning her but decided to just give her a nice home.

What do you all like to give as an immune booster from the stress of relocating and new arrivals?

I use a dose of Sav-A-Chick electrolytes/vitamins once a week or so in extreme temps.
In winter I use rolled oats to soak up the solution until there is no liquid to wet wattles.
I just mix up a cup or two at a time.. 1/8 of a teaspoon per cup of water.
Fresh plain water is always available too.
Poultry Nutri Drench for ailing birds.
Good chicken ration is all that needed.

Those Wyandottes look like mine. That's the only thing I don't like about them ya can't tell them apart. LOL I've named all my birds. I have to look at the third toe on the right foot of mine. That's Thelma. The other is Louise. After my sister. I wonder what she thinks about having a chicken named after her.
