I second the concern about long term water and snow sagging. It was a big issue in our turkey run. Then when we pushed it off the puddles it made were messy too.Suggestion: Drop the tarp edges about 2 to 3 inches lower. Reason I'm saying this is to prevent any sagging pools of water/snow. I am seeing some sag in yours and don't want you to have the eye holes in the tarp ripped off like I did after a huge rain/snow (I had a different setup but worry for you).
Predator proofing in our neck of the woods if important but I am going to let others talk about that.
The second year we re-did the whole run slanted and dig it out then covered it with a thick sand. That ended the mud and ground puddles.
plus when ever there were big storms we took the tarp off. It’s no contest against German hurricane winds.
