Hatching
Hi. About a week ago we added 6 new chickens to our flock of 4 Rhode Island reds. Before we got the new ones, one of the Rhode Islands was laying daily. Ever since the new ones came, she hasn't been laying anymore. They normally free range so what we did when we added the new chickens was we split the coop in half with chicken wire to separate the old chickens and new ones but still let the old ones free range all day. Each group had their own feeder and watered. Now, the old ones have dark blue droppings and also very watery ones (the shavings are wet where the droppings are). What should we do? Is there an illness that has been introduced?
