Lethargic and Watery Droppings

I’ll research some more on dosing by weight, good old Google just said a pea sized amount. Thanks for the Baytril info. Since she isn’t laying anyhow, I don’t know that we will have much of a withdrawal period, but who knows. I’m just hoping to treat her instead of the whole flock.
It's good to do some research to figure out dosing.

Medicines are dosed by weight. I'll give you the dosing info below.

Check your pullet over for lice/mites too and check to make sure her crop is emptying overnight as well. If you can get photos of her droppings that would be good.

To treat most worms that poultry can have except for Tapeworm you can use Safeguard (Fenbendazole) or Valbazen (Albendazole). Both are given orally by weight; they do not mix well with water.

Safeguard dose is 0.23ml per pound of weight given orally once a day for 5 days in a row.
---OR---
Valbazen dose is 0.08ml per pound of weight given orally once, then repeated in 10 days

Here's how to give oral medications:

Do you provide additiobal grit and calcium free choice?

If not, she might have run low on calcium by now which can lead to severe issues when a shell-less egg breaks inside the oviduct.

Yes. We always have a small trough of oyster shell for them. They don’t really eat it, but it’s always there for them.

I don’t have anything handy to measure the dose out. I feel like I should get some in her right away. Any suggestions?

@Wyorp Rock i think we have a case of gapeworm. She is gaping this morning. Never noticed her do it before.

Looks like she's adjusting her crop in the video. Check to make sure her crop is emptying overnight. Feel the crop tonight when she goes to roost, then first thing in the morning, it should be empty/flat.
If it's not, then address that symptom according to the article below.

I don't know what you can use to measure dosing. I either get syringes at TSC or order them online. I've also been able to ask for an infant syringe (without needle) at the local pharmacy and they just gave me one. At my TSC, where you find syringes and needles is a bit "tricky" so ask someone that works there for them if you don't see them right off the bat.

Again, if you think you are seeing Tapeworm Proglottids, you need to use Praziquantel instead of Safeguard or Valbazen.
