Over the summer I built a new coop for the girls. The coop on the left is 6x6 with a 3x4 brooder off the back side. The run is 18 x10. After I got it done I decided that I needed more coop space because I wanted more chickens!!!!! So the coop on the right is 10x6. Both coop’s have automatic coop doors and the run has a automatic door as well so they can go back and forth from run to yard area. Both coop’s have jute rope wrapped roost bars. I also built a 55 gallon automatic heated waterer so they have plenty of water. I also have 2 grandpa feeders. I have 23 Rhode Island reds that will start laying at the end of September. I built a rollaway nest box

for the coop on the left and just bought a Best Nest Box for the coop on the right.

Those look great! I was thinking the same thing I want more space than what I have now but I'm also currently waring with the aesthetic of my yard. The first set up is very aesthetically pleasing and I'm worried if I just plop something else next to it it wont look "right" and need to either get over that for figure out another set up. I like how yours looks so cohesive. Did you build from plans you bought somewhere or was it more of a wing it process?

I drew my own plans. I have been building houses and such since I was in my 20’s. The house the wife and I live in now. I built 15 years ago, way bigger than we need now since the kids have moved out but oh well.
