Added the chicks to the broodies PICS ADDED!

I hatched out 9 chicks in my homemade hatcher. I put them all under the two broody hens I have. Tonight I went out to check on them and the 9 had turned into 15!! Apparently the eggs under the broodies hatched today also. Some are still to be hatched. My DH is none to pleased, that bring my total chicks up to 40ish from day olds to some that are 8 weeks! I tried telling him they were replacements for my older hens, but i only have 17 laying hens

Woohoo!! Congrats! Good timeing putting the chicks under momma hu?

Yep! There was one chick under them(2 hens are sitting on one nest) when i added the chicks from the incubator.
